Fun Factory Sensory Gym was created by Troy Pfefferle, an inventor with over 26 years of expertise in special needs toys and therapy equipment. After recognizing a critical gap in therapy for children with sensory processing needs — hundreds of parents reaching out weekly, expressing concern about their child’s progress outside of clinical sessions — Troy set out to bring the therapy experience into the comfort of the child’s home.
What started as residential installations grew into the world’s leading sensory gym design and installation company. Troy’s work is acclaimed by healthcare professionals and parents for the innovative ways it connects with children with special needs. Every gym is designed to develop the complete sensory system of a child — and in 26 years, no two spaces have ever been identical.
Today, with two manufacturing facilities in Wisconsin and New Jersey, we serve therapy clinics, schools, hospitals, and families across all of North America. We remain the only company in the world insured and bonded specifically for sensory gym installations. Fun Factory was named to the Inc. 5000 list in 2025, with 102% three-year revenue growth.
